Network Requirements

In the connections over HpFP, TCP, Web Socket (WS) and Secure Web Socket (WSS), HCP tools uses UDP port 65520, TCP port 874, 80 and 443 by default respectively. You need to make the above ports open on firewalls between a client and a server.

If you use WS or WSS, you can make connections via an HTTP proxy server which supports Web Socket. On the other hand, HpFP and TCP do not support any proxy servers.

HpFP can achieve 10 Gbps throughput with jumbo frames from 1.5 KB to 9 KB. However, less than 1.5KB frames may limit the throughput to a few Gbps, e.g., 3Gbps. Therefore, jumbo frames are essential to perform 10G throughput.

On the other hand, TCP and WS/WSS can normally perform in more than 10Gbps environments without specific tuning. Even in LFN environments where networks are generally inefficient and slow due to many packet losses, HpFP can help enhance the performance even when jumbo frames are not available.
